Casting Your Cares On Him

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

(Transcription below)

During our Peacemakers series, I mentioned in a recent message, the concept of casting your cares upon the Lord.  As we look at that concept in the New Testament, it means to transfer a burden from one person to another.

In 1 Peter 5 for instance, it says, “casting all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.” That word, “casting”, as we learned means, to take that burden and to transfer it somewhere else.

During that time, I mentioned a testimony of a woman who had done this through prayer recently and had a miraculous healing as a result. She had been struggling for several years with chronic excruciating pain. She tried everything; she’s a woman of faith, prayed, and had to ask God for healing, yet with no result.

During prayer, God had revealed to hear that she had a spirit of fear.

He showed her several instances in her life where she had taken on that burden. It was something that had happened, it was real, a very real danger and she had taken on that burden then had a spirit of fear bring about physical symptoms.

She then rebuked that spirit of fear, cast that care upon God and gained a miraculous healing.

This testimony is from Ellen Doughty, who is part of the Hancock Campus and during a recent Sunday Service, shared her this.  I encourage you, if you want to grow in your prayer life, and learn how to cast your care and win the victory through prayer, listen to this testimony and gain wisdom so that you might have the victory in your life.
